LIVING WITH DRONES

Oct 16-18, 2025  | Camden People’s Theatre, London, U.K.

stitched! is returning to London with Living with Drones after our January debut at Camden People’s Theatre. It’s been 10 months. Since then the occupation of Gaza and the genocide has continued. A famine is underway. Israeli soldiers have targeted those attempting to simply access meagre food rations. As this story progresses and the international community fails to act, we are compelled to bring you a more harrowing, updated story; as journalists our work is to centre critical narratives. This is why we’re returning to you.

LIVING WITH DRONES

May 3 - 4, 2025 I Sitar Arts Centre, Washington, D.C.

Living with Drones is a groundbreaking live journalism production that weaves together wartime diaries, personal testimonials from Gaza, multimedia elements, and live performance to explore the devastating impact of drone warfare on civilians. Premiering in London and later performed to sold-out audiences in Toronto, the show uses diary-style storytelling and immersive soundscapes to illuminate the trauma, resilience, and humanity of those living under constant surveillance and threat. Created by the stitched! live journalism studio, the production challenges traditional journalistic norms by centering non-dominant voices and fostering critical community dialogue on war, technology, and accountability. This show was presented in collaboration with the Museum of the Palestinian People in Washington D.C.

MIRNA, BOSNIA -30 YEARS LATER-

April 17, 2025  | Innovation Studio, Bond Street

stitched! studio, in collaboration with students from JRN555 at TMU, is proud to present Mirna, Bosnia. 30 years later, explores loss, mourning and closure through the lens of storysharers who confront these questions in their own lives while guiding others.

Almost 30 years after the Srebrenica massacre, the Bosnian genocide remains an open wound for those who experienced it. Yet living with this pain, artists, storytellers and activists now share these stories.

In this memorial project we bear witness to the work through which they navigate grief, transforming personal and collective sorrow into powerful expressions of remembrance and resilience.

LIVING WITH DRONES

Jan. 6-7, 2025 | Camden People’s Theatre, London, U.K.
Jan. 9-10, 2025 I P21 art gallery, London, U.K.

Living with Drones debuted at the Camden People’s Theatre and P21 art gallery in January of 2025. This show weaves the relevance of diary as record keeping amidst the onslaught of drones used to surveil, intimidate, destroy and target Gaza’s civilians.

Living with Drones takes us into the sounds of war, in particular the use of drones, and their devastating, traumatic impact on the residents of Gaza. By tying together first-person stories from Gaza with wartime diaries from storysharers, this show weaves a narrative about the use of drone technology on human lives. What international legal and human rights questions does such a consistent bombardment raise?

CHILDHOOD INTERRUPTED

Jul. 25, 27 2024 I Innovation Studio, Bond Street

Childhood, interrupted was a collaboration among the students from stitched studio! at The Creative School, and the storysharers, around whose lived expertise the show is developed. This investigative journalism show worked in tandem with these three storysharers whose childhood experiences in foster care and as crown wards gave us insight into the harsh realities and histories of the Canadian childcare system.

The summer showcase of Childhood, Interrupted presented a revamped version of the initial show while drawing deeper connections with the audience to engage in dialogue and produce a communal Call-To-Action document, allowing audiences to remain engaged with the subject matter in various capacities.

HARMED IN HAMILTON

Oct. 22, 2022 | Theatre Aquarius, Hamilton

Three journalists ask why anti-bullying strategies in schools aren’t working. Harmed in Hamilton explores the deep rooted and systemic reasons behind ineffective anti-bullying strategies that can end up putting children last.

Public schools across Ontario’s major cities have a sharp focus on bullying and responding to it. Yet anecdotes from students, parents and some staff members highlight a problematic approach to handling incidents that harm the wellbeing of young people. We wanted to know why so many resources were being invested in an approach that seems to be failing us.
